SUPPORT

I searched the internet thoroughly when we lost our girls and didn't find a lot of specific information regarding support so, I hope you find this page to be helpful along your journey.

SUPPORT GROUPS

Joining a support group is a necessity almost in my opinion. It's way to connect with others during this extremely difficult time. They will help you feel less isolated and are people who sadly, share in your experience. They are coping, surviving and moving along in their journey just like you are. Whatever stage of grief you are in, someone is in it or has been in it. These people will play an integral role in your healing. I urge you to seek out a support group in your area and attend as soon as you are ready. I know that the thought of attending your first meeting can be intimidating, and a bit scary but, I have found that I look forward to future meetings and feel a great sense of comfort by attending. Support groups are not just for the parents, they are for friends and family members as well.

Here are some organizations that can help you find a support group in your area. Click on a link to view their website.

Personally, I have recieved outstanding support from Center For Compassionate Care of The Elizabeth Hospice. Although my children did not pass for reasons Elizabeth Hospice would provide, this is how I found our support group that we attend. Which has played a large role in our healing. They are only in San Diego and South Riverside County. Here's a link to their website:
